About this blog
This was started as Derby’s Blog. Derby is a nickname I have been known by in the past. However, I feel that the seriousness of the most of the subject matter put up on Derby’s Blog since its inception deserved a more serious name than a nickname. Derby’s Blog still exists at www.derbysblog.com. It is where I’ll ramble on non-political topics. This blog will be strictly political. If you don’t really have an interest in politics, please don’t stop reading yet. What you need to realize is that no matter what interest you may or may not have in politics, politics has an interest in you!
It is the lack of interest in politics by the great majority of this nation that has allowed our government to ignore the constitution and erode our natural rights.
About me
I am a small ‘l’ libertarian – not to be confused with a liberal. There are some things in the Libertarian Party that I disagree with. My greatest political concern is the failure of the government to follow the U. S. Constitution. Many of my posts will be relating to that situation.
One of my earliest posts (perhaps it will be the first one [it was – I am updating this with the new blog]) will be taking a stand contrary to the common libertarian position on the subject. It will be titled Choice and Responsibility. I don’t expect to find anyone, libertarian, Libertarian or otherwise to agree with me all the time. Many will almost never agree with me. That’s OK. Even those who think they will never agree with anything I write will, if they read me long enough, eventually find some common ground.
About you
Please enter a comment below this article to introduce yourself. I would like you to do this before commenting on any other post on this blog (but it is not necessary). Say as little or as much as you want us (i.e., me and whatever small part of the internet world to that reads this blog) to know about you.
Please note
This is a moderated blog with three rules:
1) Language must be kept clean.
2) No spam will be allowed.
3) Do not write all or a major portion of your comment in Capitol letters (uppercase).
I reserve the right to edit, not post, or delete any comment violating those three simple rules. Repeated offenders will be banned. My blog, my rules. I will not ban comments just because they disagree with my point of view. In fact, opposing views are welcome.
Welcome aboard.
