There were a few other bids in the box for the TV. My memory says the highest was about $75, so the buyer could have purchased it with a bid for $76 or more. Or he could have bought it for $75 if his written bid had been placed before the other bid for the same price.

And of course he didn’t get screwed. The TV was well worth the price I had asked.
